General Info

XtremeEPP ™ 1889 ETP is an Engineered Thermoplastic Foam, this material is unique in many ways.   This material offers weight savings of greater than 45% when compared to polymers like Delrin® or PVC with better dimensional stability.  The low density also means lower thermal conductivity, specific heat and dielectric constant than solid polymers.  These improved properties translate to better electrical and thermal insulation and higher dimensional stability at elevated temperatures.

Key Properties

  • Low Thermal Conductivity
  • Light Weight
  • Electrical Insulator
  • Good Structural Properties
  • Excellent Dimensional Stability

Limitations

  • Not Intended For Bearing Applications

Applications

  • Structural Components
  • Thermal Insulating Components

Resin Trade Names

Manufacturer Trade Names

Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.

Available Sizes

XtremeEPP 1889 ETP is available in sheet and rod. Sheet Sizes W x L = 24 inch x 24 inch Thicknesses (inches) 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 inches Rod Sizes Length = 24 inch Diameters (inches) 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 6, 8, 9
