General Info

* IMPORTANT NOTE * At this time, TecaMax SRP is only available in LIMITED AMOUNTS in sheet/plate forms only. The manufacturer is in the process of re-evaluating the manufacturability of TecaMax SRP material. Please contact us for more details on availability of TecaMax before specifying this complex material for your application.

TecaMax SRP is produced from Primospire ™ (formerly Parmax ™) self-reinforcing polyphenylene resin, claimed to be the world's strongest and stiffest unfilled thermoplastic. Developed by Mississippi Polymer Technologies (acquired by Solvay Advanced Polymers in 2006), this material is available in molded stock shapes (sheet and rod) produced only by Ensinger. TecaMax (Primospire) SRP's exhibit extraordinary mechanical properties, corrosion and resistance and cryogenic properties. Its hardness and scratch resistance are comparable to aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel and magnesium It also can be machined with carbide tips without stickiness, which is comparable to metal machining methods.

Key Properties

  • Exceptional Abrasion Resistance
  • High Modulus (Stiffness) & Low CLTE

Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.
