GEHR PVC™ Type I Plastic Rod and Tube is an amorphous thermoplastic made from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). It is a self-extinguishing material with exceptional chemical resistance, low stress cracking, and high mechanical strength. As an amorphous plastic, it is best suited for structural applications, especially in chemical processing and electrical insulation settings where durability and flame resistance are critical.

PVC Type I exhibits high tensile strength, rigidity, and maintains its mechanical properties in a continuous operating temperature range of +5°F to +140°F (-15°C to +60°C). It also has excellent dimensional stability and is resistant to acids, alkalis, and most industrial chemicals.

GEHR PVC™ Type I is easy to machine, and it can be glued or welded with standard techniques, making it suitable for fabricated components such as ducting systems, plating tanks, pump components, and utility enclosures.

Produced by GEHR and distributed by Boedeker, this material complies with ASTM D6263/D1784, ensuring a consistent standard of quality, performance, and safety across a wide range of applications.
