Duratron® U PEI Key Properties
Unfilled Duratron U1000 PEI excels in hot air and water environments. It's hydrolytically stable -- it retains 85% of tensile strength after 10,000 hour boiling water immersion and 100% of tensile strength after 2,000 steam autoclave cycles at 270°F. It is also UV and gamma radiation resistant.
HIGH STRENGTH & HEAT RESISTANCE, PLUS EXCELLENT DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES
- High strength and performs in continuous use to 340°F (170°C)
- High dielectric strength
- 830 Volts/mil Duratron U1000 PEI
- 770 Volts/mil Duratron U1000 PEI
- UL 94-v-0 rated with low smoke
- Available in glass-reinforced grades
Glass reinforced Duratron® U PEI provides even greater rigidity and dimensional stability while maintaining many of the useful characteristics of basic unfilled Duratron U1000 PEI. The glass reinforcement yields a product with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and increased tensile strength. Duratron® U2300 30% Glass Filled is the most common filled Duratron U PEI grade and is readily available from stock in sheet and rod forms. U2100 10% Glass Filled & U2200 20% Glass Filled are also available, minimums typically apply on these made to order grades.
