Plastics & composites play a critical role in equipment reliability and food safety in the Food & Beverage Industry. With a long history of reducing downtime in bearing & wear and structural applications in various automated equipment processes, some of which include: conveyors, ovens, freezers, bottle/canning lines, meat processors, robotic systems, packaging machines and many others. Many plastics are available in FDA, USDA and 3-A Dairy compliant grades along with Metal & X-Ray detectable grades for enhanced food & product safety. Plastics & composites offer many advantages over traditional materials like metals and are used extensively in metal replacement applications to reduce metal on metal contact and associated maintenance and wear, reduce friction, improve chemical resistance in caustic wash down and corrosive areas, perform in extreme low and high temperature environments and many other challenging applications.
Since 1984, Boedeker Plastics, Inc. has worked closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain & other personnel in all segments of the Food & Beverage Industry to solve challenging problems and supply demands with our materials, parts and services to reduce equipment downtime & enhance food safety. Over the years, we have built a multimillion dollar inventory of high performance plastic and composite sheet, rod and tube and an ISO certified precision machine shop to support our clients with machined plastic and composite parts for the most challenging requirements. With a wide selection of FDA compliant and advanced materials for longer wear life, improved chemical resistance and lower friction along with materials that are Metal detectable and X-Ray detectable for enhanced food safety.
