General Info
PVC Type 1 or Type I is the most widely used member of the vinyl family. PVC Type I offers excellent corrosion and weather resistance. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is a good electrical and thermal insulator.
It is most commonly used for chemical processing applications, pipe and fittings, flanges, air handling, potable water systems, and more. For applications requiring higher impact resistance than Type I PVC, consider Type II, which offers higher impact strength.
