TIVAR ® VMX UHMW-PE contains a detectable* additive and a high visibility blue pigment formulated for product safety in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
TIVAR ® VMX is engineered to be detectable by all three standard detection technologies, including visual, metal, and x-ray detection.
TIVAR ® VMX is formulated to maintain an optimal balance of mechanical strength, excellent chemical resistance, low friction, outstanding wear resistance, and impact strength, making this grade well suited for different applications where detectability for enhanced food and product safety is essential in a wide range of bearing and wear applications.
TIVAR ® VMX is FDA compliant & EU 10/2011 Food Grade (all VMX products come with migration test documentation) for use in food processing. They are also manufactured within GMP guidelines.
