General Info

XtremeEPP ™ 1891 TEG TFE is a toughened epoxy resin / PTFE matrix composite with high strength and stiffness. The hollow glass spheres lower the density by roughly 40% as compared to standard epoxy systems. The lower density also results in a lower thermal conductivity thereby increasing its effectiveness as an insulator, better dimensional stability over a range of temperatures, and lower dielectric resistivity for electrical insulation applications

The PTFE additive helps enhance the surface frictional characteristics for enhanced slip and wear resistance. This high strength material is durable over a wide temperature range.

Key Properties

  • Lower Density for Weight Reduction & Buoyancy
  • Enhanced Dimensional Stability Lower CLTE
  • Lower Thermal Conductivity
  • High Operating Temp 350F/176C

Limitations

  • Not Intended For Bearing Applications

Applications

  • Structural Components

Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.
