General Info
GEHR CPVC™ Plastic Rod is a rigid, amorphous thermoplastic made from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC). CPVC is derived from PVC resin that is subjected to an additional post chlorination reaction providing additional chlorine atoms on the polymer molecule. This results in CPVC having significantly improved thermal performance over PVC, maintaining high rigidity, strength, and hardness at elevated temperatures.
As an amorphous material, GEHR CPVC™ is best suited for structural applications requiring dimensional stability, chemical resistance, and reliable performance under sustained heat. It retains excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and corrosive fluids, and it is frequently used in chemical processing equipment, hot fluid transport systems, and fabricated structural components.
Produced by GEHR and distributed by Boedeker, GEHR CPVC™ complies with ASTM D6263/D1784 Cell Class 23447, offering superior heat resistance compared to standard PVC. It is also non-conductive, self-extinguishing, and easily machinable, glueable, and weldable using common thermoplastic fabrication methods.

- NSF Certification: GEHR CPVC™ rod material is certified to NSF Std 61. GEHR CPVC™ rod material is listed to NSF Std 14 (physical properties/cell classification), and NSF Std 61 (health effects testing for drinking water).
- Note: This does not certify a finished part made from this material for the NSF specification; that is the responsibility of the customer, who will work directly with NSF on certifying the part.

In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.
