Key Properties

  • Low cost compared to other premium Nylon wear grades
  • Improved wear, lower friction, and higher limiting PV than standard Nylon
  • Reduces chatter and slip stick
  • Longer wear life than standard Nylon

Limitations

  • High Moisture Absorption
  • Limited Resistance to Strong Acids & Alkalies Note - Nylons can absorb up to 7% (by weight) water under high humidity or submerged in water. This can result in dimensional changes up to 2% and a corresponding reduction of physical properties. Proper design techniques can frequently compensate for this factor.

Applications

  • Bearing and Wear Parts for a Wide Range Automated Equipment
  • Construction Equipment Wear Pads
  • Crane Wear Pads
  • Telescopic Crane Boom Wear Pads
  • Ag and Farm Equipment Wear Pads

Resin Trade Names

Manufacturer Trade Names

  • Nylatron ® WP PA6

Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.

Available Sizes
