General Info

BOETEK™ PEEK IM 5020 is a bearing-grade carbon fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material. It is available in injection molded tubes in a wide range of sizes.  It offers improved dimensional stability, a higher modulus, enhanced mechanical strength, and greater resistance to deformation under load compared to unfilled Virgin PEEK. 

The carbon fibers help increase the thermal conductivity to over three and a half times that of unfilled virgin PEEK, allowing for quicker heat dissipation. 

Tribological Wear Testing

Wear Rate (PV: 20K psi-fpm) per ASTM D3702 = 4.08 μin/min

It is commonly used for backup rings, bearings, bushings, pump and valve components, pump case wear rings, seals, and thrust washers.
