General Info
PLAVIS-S offers improved thermal properties with continuous use of 350C / 662F, designed for demanding applications that require thermal and dimensional stability. PLAVIS-S offers higher tensile strength than PLAVIS-N and higher elongation at elevated temperatures.
At 23 ℃, PLAVIS-S has almost twice the strength and a similar elongation as PLAVIS-N. At 260 ℃, PLAVIS-S has about 50% more strength and exceptionally greater elongation characteristics. In continuous exposure to air at 698 F (370 C),after about 300 hours, PLAVIS-S will retain half its initial strength. After about 100 hours, elongation is reduced by 50%

Resin Trade Names
Manufacturer Trade Names
Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.
Available Sizes
Plavis polyimide is available in molded shapes as follows:
