General Info
Durolight® is an insulating thermoset glass composite sheet material for cryogenic load-bearing structural support applications. Durolight® is engineered for cryogenic temperatures and is commonly used in liquified natural gas (LNG), pipeline, subsea, and medical industry applications.
Key properties include:
- Low thermal conductivity
- High Strength and Stiffness
- Cryogenic Service Capability
Durolight® is engineered to meet load-bearing pipe supports' thermal and mechanical requirements in LNG applications. Its low thermal conductivity and ability to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -320 F to 392 F make it an excellent choice for pipelines and thermal breaks in applications in the Oil & Gas Industry. Durolight is naturally flame-retardant and halogen-free, resistant to weathering, abrasion, and wear-resistant.
Companies including Bechtel Crop, Linde AG, and Tracebetal S.A./N.V. have approved using these materials in specific applications due to their outstanding combination of properties.
Durolight is produced from proprietary synthetic resin systems and a combination of high-strength glass reinforcements. Other available grades are Durolight®, Durolight® S1, Durolight® S2, and Durolight® S3. Contact us for more information regarding application suitability or questions about the available grades.

Resin Trade Names
Manufacturer Trade Names
Boedeker Plastics, Inc. stocks & supplies plastic sheet, rod, tube, film and custom profiles and machine parts from these shapes that are produced from plastic resin. In many cases the manufacturer of the shape has their own product trade name. If your specification calls for a specific resin grade or manufacturer trade name, we can supply a shape made from that resin to meet your specification or suggest an equal. If you require a specific resin or brand it must be specified at the time of order.
