General Info

DuPont™ Vespel ® SP-1 is an unfilled polyimide. SP-1 is a high-purity polymer that provides maximum physical strength, elongation, toughness, and outstanding electrical and thermal insulation values. It offers an operating temperature range from cryogenic to 260°C (500°F). 

Vespel® SP-1 can be found in many critical structural and bearing and wear applications in aerospace, semiconductor, pump, valve, compressor, and other high-tech industries.
