General Info

GEHR ABS™ Natural & Black Plastic Sheets and Rods are versatile, high-impact engineering thermoplastics designed for applications requiring excellent toughness, good dimensional stability, and ease of machining. This material is an amorphous Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene thermoplastic that is widely used across multiple industries for structurally machinable parts.

This material is compliant with ASTM D4673 ensuring consistent quality and performance and is used to produce both rods and sheets.

Manufactured by GEHR and offered by Boedeker, GEHR ABS™ is known for its high surface hardness and balanced thermal and mechanical properties. While it is not UV-stable, it performs reliably in indoor or limited UV exposure environments, making it ideal for housings, enclosures, and structural components.

With a continuous operating temperature range of approximately -58°F to +158°F (-50°C to +70°C), GEHR ABS™ maintains its mechanical integrity under typical service conditions. It also offers good chemical resistance and impact resistance, making it suitable for applications exposed to mechanical stress and wear.

Available in natural (unpigmented) and black colors, GEHR ABS™ ensures material purity and consistency during machining. Its combination of toughness, dimensional stability, and surface finish quality makes it a popular choice for prototyping, consumer products, and industrial parts requiring both strength and aesthetic appeal.
