GEHR PPO-30GF™ Glass-Filled Plastic Rods are high-strength, semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastics made from Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) reinforced with 30% glass fiber. This material is designed specifically for structural applications requiring superior stiffness, dimensional stability, and thermal resistance. GEHR PPO-30GF™ complies with ASTM D4349, the Standard Classification System for PPO Molding and Extrusion Materials.

Manufactured by GEHR and offered by Boedeker, GEHR PPO-30GF™ is known for its enhanced rigidity, low thermal expansion, and consistent performance under mechanical load. The addition of glass fiber reinforcement increases flexural strength and reduces creep, making it a top choice for structural parts that must maintain tight tolerances in challenging environments.

With a continuous operating temperature range, GEHR PPO-30GF™ maintains its integrity under thermal stress. It also offers low moisture absorption, excellent dimensional stability, and good electrical insulation properties, though the glass reinforcement may slightly reduce dielectric performance compared to unfilled PPO.

GEHR PPO-30GF™ rods are available in black, offering visual uniformity and UV resistance. This material is not recommended for bearing and wear applications due to the abrasive nature of glass fibers. It is ideal for structural housings, electrical component supports, industrial brackets, and other precision-machined parts where strength and stability are critical.
