Techtron ® PPS (Unfilled)

Techtron ® PPS offers the broadest resistance to chemicals of any advanced engineering plastic. They have no known solvents below 392°F (200°C) and are inert to steam, strong bases, fuels and acids. Minimal moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, combined with stress-relieving manufacturing, make PPS ideally suited for precise tolerance machined components. Techtron ® is Natural (ivory or off-white) in color and is FDA and 3A-Dairy compliant.
Techtron ® PPS HPV (Bearing Grade)![]()
This grade of Techtron, containing carbon, graphite and PTFE lubricants, offers the lowest coefficient of friction and the best machinability for all PPS grades. Techtron ® HPV has an excellent combination of low friction, low wear, high limiting PV, low mating part wear, and easy machining. The formulation of this product is in compliance with applicable food contact regulations in 21 CFR and can be used in contact with all foods under conditions of use C through H as defined in Table 2 of 21 CFR 176.170 (c). NOTE: The responsibility for evaluating the finished food contact article for conformance with FDA, EU and any other applicable requirements lies with the manufacturer of such article. Techtron HPV is medium blue in color.
PEEK (Unfilled)![]()
This general purpose grade is unreinforced and offers the highest elongation and toughness of all PEEK grades. This material is standard in Natural (a very light brown or tan) color, but is also available in black . Black PEEK is ideal for instrument components where aesthetics are important, as well as for seal components where ductility and inertness are important. The unfilled PEEK grade complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.2415 for repeated food contact. NOTE: The responsibility for evaluating the finished food contact article for conformance with FDA, EU and any other applicable requirements lies with the manufacturer of such article. Unfilled PEEK is also USDA and Canada AG compliant.
Ketron ® PEEK HPV (Bearing Grade)![]()
This grade of PEEK, containing carbon fiber reinforced with graphite and PTFE lubricants, offers the lowest coefficient of friction and the best machinability for all PEEK grades. Ketron HPV has an excellent combination of low friction, low wear, high limiting PV, low mating part wear, and easy machining. Ketron HPV is black or dark grey in color.
