GENERAL PROPERTIES
AvaSpire ® PAEK is a modified polyaryletherketone (PAEK) that offers improved ductility and impact strength relative to PEEK while retaining most of PEEK's key performance attributes. Additionally, AvaSpire PAEK generally offers improved part economics relative to unmodified PEEK resin. These and other properties make this material well-suited for applications in healthcare, transportation, electronics, chemical processing, and other industries.
AvaSpire ® is produced in a number of different resin grades that are suitable for a variety of processing methods including compression molding, stock shape extrusion, and injection molding. AvaSpire PAEK resin has been formulated for applications requiring a balance of chemical resistance and mechanical strength along with good part aesthetics, thereby bridging the performance gaps within the ultra polymers space.
AvaSpire AV-621 PAEK grade is the low melt flow (higher molecular weight) resin most suitable for stock shapes production. This PAEK is easily fabricated using conventional machining techniques and standard tooling. This unfilled grade has a uniform opaque appearance with a beige color similar to that of PEEK.
AvaSpire AV-621 grade PAEK is available from Boedeker Plastics in 1/2" and 1" thick plate/sheet and 1" and 2" diameter solid round rod forms. Contact us for more details on stock shape availability.
