General Information
KYDEX GND is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet that offers a surface resistance of 105 Ohms/square, while retaining the excellent forming properties of KYDEX. KYDEX GND offers more uniform forming with less wall thinning, greater detail, and significantly greater resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals and cleaning solutions. Based on independent lab testing, it meets the flammability requirements of UL® Standard 94 V-0 at .125" (3.175mm). KYDEX GND is available in black only.
Features Conductive Properties :
Unlike other conductive sheet grades, KYDEX GND retains its conductance even after forming.
Superior Formability: For deep or hard to form parts, KYDEX GND outperforms the competitive conductive sheet in thermoformability.
Chemical Resistance: KYDEX is very resistant to a broad range of chemicals, particularly to acids and bases.
Rigidity: KYDEX GND is very rigid, with a flexural modulus of 270,000psi (1868 MPa).
Fire Rated: KYDEX GND meets the requirements of UL Standard 94 V-0 at .125"(3.175mm).
Thermoformability:
KYDEX GND is easy to form and retains its conductive properties after forming. Excellent forming properties result in uniform wall thicknesses and crisp detail, plus easy machining and fabricating using conventional methods and equipment.
RIPH: KYDEX is endorsed by the Royal Institute of Public Health for conformance to the standard of Hygienic Merit
