KYDEX 301 is a proprietary Bi-layer thermoplastic sheet that is cost competitive with fire retardant ABS (FR-ABS) formulations but with superior properties. Unlike FR-ABS, KYDEX 301 is less hygroscopic. KYDEX 301 typically does not require pre-drying and offers significantly greater resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals and cleaning solutions. It is available in a wide range of aesthetic choices and is UL® recognized Std 94 V-0/5V.
Features
KYDEX 301 has a colored cap with a similarly colored substrate allowing for a more cost competitive sheet with little sacrifice in appearance or physical properties.
KYDEX 301 is formulated to substitute for PVC sheet with competitive pricing but superior cost/performance.
It is offered in gauges from .080" (1mm) to .390" (10mm).
Thermoformability:
KYDEX 301 is easy to form with good part definition and deep-draw characteristics. It forms with similar forming times to FR-ABS making it an easy transition from competitive products.`
